Ynysowen v Deri 12 a side

At 12 a side all the pre season planning was put aside and this game was very much about adapting to the game in front of us. Coaches were very pleased with the line out in both attack and defence which caused big problems for Deri. We also carried very agressiveley and found good areas to attack in and around the ruck.

Discipline was poor throughout as was our ruck speed. These will be areas of focus as we lead into out our first 15 a side game v Cefn next Saturday. However as a first hit out in 18+ months and first win in 24 months we can not complain. The feeling is good in camp and attitudes are improving all players seem to be pulling in the right direction. Focus is already on next week where we play Cefn Coed which is always a great local derby 1pm kick off.

Tries scored by

Cameron Harris who went over off a smart line out move.

Rhys Williams scored an individual jinking in and out try.

Matthew Cook powered himself over from a tap penalty 10m out.

Rhys Williams put over one conversion. 1/3

Special mention goes to Zac Hurley who was player of the match followed closely by Jack Forrest. In all fairness all playes give it there best. After such a long lay off there were way more positives to take away than negatives. Good first hit out.

Also not forgetting a big thank you to the committee, volunteers and the few people who came over to support us. The team does appreciate it.
