WRU bowl group game-

Hirwaun were put to the sword at the Willows by a Ynys side that are currently full of confidence and running rugby.

Not much to write about the game really just take a deep breath in and read the score line again. Yes you had read right Ynysowen did score 71 points there be it against a depleted under performing Hirwaun team. Hirwaun may be struggling at this current time but the boys got on with there jobs extremely well and played some lovely free flowing rugby and never did they ease up at any time during the game. Praise must also go to Hirwaun who never gave up and did score two second half tries to their credit. Ynys were relentless throughout the game scoring tries from all over the field deciding to run with the ball and offloading at every opportunity.

*Special mention goes to the DJ before the game for getting the boys going as they were all pumped and ready to attack straight from the off* ( the first two tries were scored within the first 5 minutes of the game kicking off ).

Coaches view- Very good result not sure when was the last time Ynys scored more than 50 points in a game. The boys are playing with smiles on their faces which is nice to see and are encouraging each other at every opportunity. The game did go abit up and down in the second half and the boys must not forget how we want to play in certain area's of the field. Far too many penalties given again though. All the boys played well but the two players that stood out were The Goat and Pikey. Discipline is still a big area that needs to improve especially going into next weeks game against what looks like a rejuvenate Cefn Coed team as per recent results.
