Ynysowen RFC Christmas Message

We are half way through the season and we are currently 7th in the league with 3 wins and 3 loses 14 pts ( Llandaf lead the way with 5 wins from 7 massing 27 pts Wattstown are just behind with 23 pts ) also as if we didnt know "IT'S’ CHRISTMAS" – Who doesn't love this time of year? With Welsh genes, we can’t help be a little sentimental, it really is in our blood to want to gather with family around a fireplace and sing songs! So please all make the most of the time you have with your family and close friends. Enjoy and have fun over the festive period but most of all stay safe, relax and party.

Rugby teaches us many lessons: friendship, trust, respect etcetera but most of all it teaches us to enjoy life. Whether it’s playing rugby, attending school, earning our pay or being with family and friends; take a moment to look around, realise how lucky we may be to have friends, health, employment, sport or just time.

From the rugby side of view one message is still loud and clear, we want to play the best, most entertaining rugby in the best facilities we can, we are a club with a solid foundation and have good building blocks in place. The future’s bright, the future’s "Ynys".

And so finally to all of you players, supporters, physios, caterers, bar staff, referees, facilities and ground managers, committees, members, mums, dads, fundraisers, sponsors and all those other staff and volunteers that makes Ynysowen Rugby grow, we wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, successful 2023.
